I love surprising friends.

Happiness delivered is one of my favourite things to do for those around me. I don't wait for specific days to tell those around me I love and appreciate them. I want them to know it every day. In every exchange we have, meal we share or status I tag them in on Facebook. Making someone smile is a beautiful thing.

And there are so many ways to do it. I've sent cards, written love letters, had random food shops delivered. I always follow my spirit and do it when led to, or a person crosses my mind, because you might not know what they're going through and what a few caring words could mean to them at that moment in time.

As you've probably picked up, I'm a bit of a frugal Fran. A thoughtful gift or a card chosen because you know I'll love the design or the inside joke, will mean a million times more than something purchased purely for the brand name or price tag. And I take that approach with the things I send.

This year's been a bit of a weird one for me, and I wanted to say thank you to some of the #queendom who have been there with an ear, a kind word or their time. So I wrote up some note cards and popped them in padded envelopes along with a simple stick of rock, the take away being this: "here's some rock, to say thank you for being mine."

Simple but effective, I like to think.
