Note #68 // The week.

Quoting: "Don't devour life, savour it."

Learning: Not to take love for granted. If its worth it, work at it. And also being reminded that I have some flippin' awesome friends.
Reading: Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus - don't fob it off as some mumbo jumbo, there's some good advice and a lotta home truths in there.
Charlotte's blog post on contentment.
Feeling: Blessed. Life may not be 100% perfect, but I've got plenty to be thankful for.
Thinking: About the long game. My mum asked for some nearly-new beauty bits she could have to make up small Christmas bundles for the charity that she volunteers for. She got a lot more than she bargained for. That glitter polish that I just had to have last spring that I've used once. The clay mask I bought that was an essential buy, that I swiftly upgraded once something else caught my eye. All of this made me think about my long term goals, goals that I won't achieve or will take a heck of a lot longer to attain if I keep being dazzled by well-placed marketing and impulse buys, even if it is only a nail polish here and there. These purchases weren't planned and all add up.
Eating: Marks and Spencer's caramel waffles. They are the shizzle. A pack demolished in less than two days says so.
Loving: Ben, watches (there are currently four on my admiration list) and Dotcomgiftshop.com. I have resisted a purchase thus far, but this is exactly the type of website that is anti-long game. It sells a plethora of random, pretty, quirky trinkets and I want it all. All I tell you!
(Note to self: jump back to the thinking point and stop being lured in by the marketing and pretty things).
